Review of CashSurfers.com

This is a site where you would be expected to be paid to surf the web. It is where you place a banner on your browser and then you get paid to surf. You can surf for a maximum of 4 hours per day.

After a while in your account the points might seem a lot but have you actually seen the pay rate? It is quite low compared to other sites that i am registered with. They don't really say how much they are going to pay either for a certain month and actually pay out 3 to 4 months later.

Company Info
CashSurfers is seemingly the newest of the get paid to surf systems. It has only been active since the beginning of December 1999, but is already international and working now. The CashBar Navigator, shown below, is at present the only way of earning money through the system, but the company evidently intends to follow the likes of Spedia in introducing a myriad of possibilities. Email, chat, games - all will allow you to earn money in the future.

WEBSITE **
CashSurfers' website is quite unprofessional and incomplete, with expected information absent. A lot of the figures and data below are based on our experimentation and research; it's therefore required reading before venturing to the website in question.

Payout ****
There is no monthly time limit. One earns Ad Points, about 10 per minute (5 every 30 seconds), which are exchanged for cash every month. CashSurfers estimates that 10 Points will equate to US$0.01, giving US$0.60 per hour. This depends on what price the company can get for its advertising space, but, as quoted above, is a competitive rate. A structured referral network is in place - five levels deep. You are given the equivalent of 20 percent of the points your direct referrals earn - unfortunately we are not certain of the lower levels, since we haven't tested them and the company's website is very vague on the matter.

When are payments made?
Members will be paid on the tenth of each month - US members only if US$20 credit has been earned, non-US members only if US$40 credit has been earned.

Active? Yes or No
As we mentioned above, the CashBar system is active now and may be used anywhere in the world. We are quite impressed with the software, a typical bar which installs and runs above the Windows Task Bar, about 60 pixels high. Unfortunately it requires Internet Explorer to be installed, since the software uses the browser's engine in order to display ads - this is not a problem for Windows 98 users, but Windows 95 owners may have to upgrade to MSIE 4 or later. Support for Macintosh or UNIX users seems to be lacking - hopefully this will change in the future. However, these drawbacks are offset by the fact that it actually works as it should - a bonus for frustrated Spedia users! Use the CashBar Navigator for one minute, and you are credited with the points, unlike the buggy Spedia Bar.

Red and Green
Leave the software alone for about sixty seconds, and the green bar on the left will turn red, indicating you're not earning money any more. Begin interacting with your computer again, and the light will return green as soon as the next banner is displayed. This happens when the mouse is not moving, so if you're typing busily it can turn off on you. This is annoying but tolerable most of the time. An added bonus of the CashBar Navigator is that you don't have to be using an internet browser for points to be earned. As long as your connection to the Internet is open, you can do any Windows task and earn cash.

Website, Again **
The website of CashSurfers, as we mentioned above, is a little messy. However, it is functional and once you have joined up, things seem to work. There is a Member's Area, where one can log in and check one's account and referral statistics. Banners and advertisements for websites are available. A vague FAQ is provided.

Information need to receive checks
At present the only information required is your name, address (to send checks to), and e-mail address (for notices).I think this system is the best because it's fast and easy with no hassles at all.
